| How does an industrial engineer come to be an accomplished artist? Rollin Karg, engineer turned glassblower, has turned one of his one-time hobbies into a very successful career. Karg was born in Columbus, Ohio but was raised in Miami, Florida and studied hot glass at Emporia State University. During this time he built his first glassblowing furnace. Most of the pieces Karg makes are heavy, solid form sculptural pieces which place considerable physical demands on the body. People in the industry recognize the strong value in his work. His pieces are priced well and are all one-of-a-kind. |
