From the Batu Sari Collection, this necklace is as admirable as it is brilliant. Some stations in the neckace are themed after the Dot Nuansa collection, in which John Hardy takes 18K Gold and sterling silver beads and flattens them to make small circular discs. The discs are then hand-embedded in a natural rhythmic pattern. In other stations, the Cognac Quartz stones are set with unusual triangular-shaped prongs that envelope the stones, like a silk sari wraps a beautiful Balian woman. Using sterling silver and 18K gold, the complex grillwork of the metal is inspired by the carved stone widow screens of the desert palaces of India. 16" length.
