A native Alaskan Tlingit who comes from a family of artists, Nick Galanin draws on the traditional visual language of the Tlingit culture and mixes this with his own unique contemporary artistic stylings when creating these inimitable designs. He has a Bachelors degree in Jewelry Design and Silversmithing from the London Guildhall University in England and is currently completing his M.V.A in Indigenous Visual Arts at Massey University in New Zealand. The cuff bracelet features a native lovebird design. It is carved in pure sterling silver, and is themed after the totemic styles of Tlingit indians. Meticulously hand-fashioned, this has a personal touch that should be treasured.
